“The Riviera 45 open flybridge is a well-equipped, sizeable and has been ingeniously designed “- Scott Dillon, R Marine Pittwater.
The 45 Open features fully moulded steps complete with teak treads and a storage locker underneath. The rear bulkhead awning window and door, both set in solid stainless steel frames, open out into the cockpit to create one living space between the saloon and cockpit. The saloon is one integrated living space, with the large gourmet galley forward with dining area opposite and a spacious and comfortable aft lounge.
We’ve included an electrically operated overhead locker in the saloon headliner for safe and convenient rod storage, while the finish on the timberwork throughout the saloon and accomodation deck is both impeccable and astonishingly durable.
Down the moulded steps (complete with LED lighting in the risers for night-time safety) you’ll find an equally well-equipped and ingeniously designed cockpit.
The transom door is just one example. Not only does the door open outwards to keep the cockpit clear, but the top bridge hinges up to provide safety for the angler and crew when bringing large fish aboard. You’ll also appreciate a swim platform that includes a ladder with cover and convenient grab handle.
This is a three-cabin configuration, the master stateroom features an island queen bed and ensuite, a starboard guest cabin for two with Pullman-style bunks and a portside cabin with twin beds with an infill to convert to a double bed.
The rear bulkhead awning window and door open out into the cockpit to create one extended living space between the cockpit, saloon and galley. The saloon boasts generous headroom and intelligent layout. Watch the 32″ LED TV, pop your iPod into the sound system, or enjoy the reverse cycle air-conditioning.
The gorgeous Gourmet Galley befitting a long-range cruiser, a generous U-shaped gourmet galley features solid-surface bench tops, large stainless steel sink, generous storage and an impressive array of appliances.
The ‘open plan’ lounge comfortably seats six adults. Features include a lockable GRP hatch, a wet bar, independent sound system, optional fridge and state-of-the-art helm station.
A well-equipped, sizeable and ingeniously designed cockpit. Addressing two key end-users, for the game fisherman it is a well conceived and functional platform, and for the cruising family it is the social hub.
No ladder to the flybridge – the Riviera 45 has a moulded staircase between the cockpit and flybridge. Teak treads and LED courtesy lights for nighttime safety as well as polished stainless steel grabrails provide safety and comfort at sea or at anchor.
Engine and Construction
The Frank Mulder-designed computer CAD-CAM precision hull offers startling performance characteristics; the propeller ‘tunnels’ provide greater forward thrust while the exceptional hydrodynamics means it is quick to plane, stable yet delightfully responsive, and truly robust.
